Sam Neill was born in Omagh, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland, to army parents, an English-born mother, Priscilla Beatrice (Ingham), and a New Zealand-born father, Dermot Neill. His family moved to the South Island of New Zealand in 1954. He went to boarding schools and then attended the universities at Canterbury and Victoria. The 6-foot tall star has a BA in English Literature. Following his graduation, he worked with the New Zealand Players and other theater groups. He also was a film director, editor and scriptwriter for the New Zealand National Film Unit for 6 years.
Sam Neill is internationally recognised for his contribution to film and television. He is well known for his roles in Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park (1993) and Jane Campion's Academy Award Winning film The Piano (1993). He received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for the NBC miniseries Merlin (1998). He also received a Golden Globe nomination for One Against the Wind (1991), and for Reilly: Ace of Spies (1983). The British Academy of Film and Television honoured Sam's work in Reilly by naming him Best Actor. Sam received an AFI Award for Best Actor for his role in Jessica (2004).

Pennsylvania-born Ethan Stiefel began his dance training at the age of 8 in Madison, Wisconsin. He studied for two years at the Milwaukee Ballet School with both Ted Kivitt and Paul Sutherland. He also studied with Marcia Dale Weary at the Pennsylvania Youth Ballet before moving to New York to attend American Ballet Theatre's School of Classical Ballet and the School of American Ballet on scholarship. At 16 he joined the corps de ballet of the New York City Ballet. In 1992, Mr. Stiefel took a leave of absence to perform with the Zurich Ballet. Alan grew up outside of Tyrone Pennsylvania, the home of 'Fred Waring'. Upon graduation from high school in 1969, was awarded a full scholarship from the U.S.A.F. (only 40 was awarded that year). He has an honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1971. And received a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering in 1972. After graduation Alan received his draft notice for Vietnam. He enlisted into the U.S.M.C. and was sent to Quantico, Virginia to Officer Candidate School and got his 2nd Lt. commission in December 1972. The Marines sent him to Flight school at the U.S.N. Pensacola, Florida. He was sent for advance training in San Diego, CA . He had his theatre debut in a Jon Voight production of "the Basic Training of Pablo Hummel" in Los Angeles which starred David Proval. Was seen by 'Renee Valente' head of casting at Columbia Pictures who introduce him to director Buzz Kulik who used him in The Lindbergh Kidnapping Case (1976). This led to other television and film roles. At this time there was some misfortunes. A never released film titled "Ellipsis" with Billy Gray and Toni Basil, and an unsold MTM pilot "Nichols and Dymes" aka "The Iron Cowboys". He co-owned a vintage clothing store on Sunset Blvd. for a while and briefly moved to Miami. He has done voice overs and looping for such shows as Magnum, P.I. (1980) and Miami Vice (1984). Currently living in Studio City, California.- Flann O'Brien was born on 5 October 1911 in Strabane, County Tyrone, Ireland. Composer, songwriter, author, and pianist and singer in the orchestra led by his brother Fred Waring. He was educated at Penn State University, and was a soloist in the Cummberland MD Glee Club and the Penn State Glee Club. He sang on radio and in films and concerts. Alexander 'Sandy' Faris was born to a Presbyterian minister and his school-mistress wife on 11 June 1921 in County Tyrone. He read music at Clare College, Cambridge, before war service with the Irish Guards and after demobilization resumed his musical studies at the Royal College of Music in London and - via a scholarship - The Juilliard School in New York. He subsequently conducted and arranged for the Royal Ballet, the Carl Rosa Opera Company and, briefly, for the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company and in the 1980s was the musical director for a television series 'The Gilbert and Sullivan Collection' which presented 11 of their comic operas. To many though his best known contribution is the music for long-running period serial 'Upstairs, Downstairs'. Alexander Faris died on 28 September 2015.
